Developing Your Novel with ALISON MAY
Join us from 6th – 13th May 2023 for a writing retreat – more than 4 places available
This week-long course will cover the essential building blocks of any novel. We’ll look at character, plot, setting, and these, and discuss techniques for planning a novel and editing a first draft. We’ll also discuss the publishing industry and what to expect when you’re ready to bring your finished novel to publishers, agents or readers.
The course will include group workshops, one-to-one time with the tutor, and lots of time to write and focus on your own manuscript. The course is suitable for anyone with a manuscript already in progress, an idea they’d like to develop, or simply a burning desire to write a novel. Whether this is your very first manuscript or you’ve bene writing for years, this is the perfect chance to focus on your story and your writing craft in a supportive atmosphere and beautiful surroundings.
